Çeşme
WHERE DOES THE NAME OF THE FOUNTAIN COME FROM?
Cesme is 94 km from Izmir. it was established in the west, at the far end of the peninsula bearing its own name. It was called little port by the sailors. But since there are plenty of spring waters in and around Cesme, the region has also been called Cesme because of its fountains that multiply over time and ice-cold waters flow. Deconstructing fountains around these constantly flowing springs has taken place among our ancient traditions as it is today. The fountain got its name from these fountains, which were once said to be about a hundred. All of these fountains have their own unique features and architecture.
